You ask for these three Polaroid gizmos,if appropriate for Xmas.
1)The 8x10 Polaroid processor which is an electric powered rolling device
to process the polaroid after exposure. It is approximately 18X12X12 in
size.....Or,
1a)The 8x10 Calumet processor which is an hand powered rolling device
to process the polaroid after exposure by means of a winding crank.
2) The Polaroid 8x10 back to put the polaroid film into. This opens like a
book and you put the negative (which is sleeved in paper) into the middle
and close it up. After it is closed you pull the sleeve out leaving the
film within.
3) The Polaroid Processor tray to load the negative (which I mentioned
above) and the positive.
After exposing the negative you take it over to the processor which already
has the positive laying in it. If you did this beforehand..that is!
You insert the polaroid back this time into
the processor and push the button and 'wa-lah' the two are joined as they
drive through the rollers and out to the back.
In 90 seconds a beep goes off and you seperate the negative and positive
revealing to your delight a wonderful color print (or b&w)...or...to your
dismay an image whose color is off, or your composition is bad, or the
lighting sucks...or...well you get the idea. Whatever, it is all very
clearly there right in front of you (and the client) for the world to see.
Polaroid 8x10's cost about $10 ea. We charge the client more for each one,
but that is to pay for all the wasted negatives that were processed without
a positive having been loaded into the processor.
