It all began about a year ago...Visiting a flea-market my eyes were caught by a pristine looking exposure meter. Actually never heard of the name before, but the model was familiar because years ago I owned a Sekonic L-28C. The meter worked precise and I used it a lot till I saw a Minolta Autometer with a rotating dial and glowing leds.
This was what I needed (Gadgets and a Photographer Huh?), so I sold the Sekonic and forgot all about it, in between upgrading to many Minolta meters.

And here it was a beauty of a meter, apparently used but well taken care of. I could not resist and brought the meter home. It was tested against my other meters and guess what? Dead-on! No batteries, this would be my backup meter. After a while I became curious about the name and the year of production and started a search on the Internet.
There was not much, but there was a link and a connection to the legendary NorWood Directors.

Amazed by the fact that there was so few on history on these meters I decided to change this...
My site on WestonMaster was already operational for a couple of years and this could be a nice suppletion to cover the two most important SELENIUM METERS.
Investing in more models, investigating, talking with many sources, E-mail etc, The site began to grow...
Finally as with all projects, there will be light at the end of the tunnel and consequently there will be a finish.

So here it is: The complete story about Norwood Director and its descendants...it all started with the American Mother of all later Sekonic Studio series.

I do hope you will enjoy the story as much as I did, creating and publishing the site.

Happy reading,
